Last day of the week for the Letter Dd and I have decided to do a Dinosaur theme. Lia can easily identify a dinosaur a few weeks back and so I thought it would be something interesting! Unfortunately when this day came, I was feeling tired and low on energy, blame it on sleeping late every single night {and breaking the promises I made to myself to sleep earlier}.
I printed out these worksheets when I became so excited about Tot School. Most worksheets were from the curriculum I purchased from Confessions of a Homeschooler, but she has most printables on her site free for personal or non-commercial use. Lia wasn't too interested in doing worksheets either today, so I instantly thought of coming up with a sensory bin. I first gave her sometime to play by herself, with the little dinosaur creatures we have. She made different roaring sounds and kept talking to herself in her own baby language.
Our little dinosaurs were from the dollar store...deal!
ROARRRR...
She figured the dinos need some air!
Our little dinosaur bin! I put in cloud dough {made from flour and baby oil}, rocks, little dinos and eggs that are about to "hatch".
Sensory bins are her favorite!
Then for our gross motor activity, I cut out dino feet and taped them on to Lia's feet so she can dance along the dinostamp song!
Dinosaurus, Stomposaurus! We love this song from the Mother Goose Club!
...and the little girl had a blast!
