Mo Willems Fun

It's the final countdown till my little girl's 2nd Birthday! I have originally planned to put off activities for this week to finish errands and things to do, but I realized that it was the best opportunity to do book-based activities! Since the first Mo Willems book we've ever read {The Elephant and Piggie Book: Can I Share My Ice Cream?} I find myself looking for more of his books in the library...and thankfully, I got a bunch...yay!

We first read the book "The Pigeon Needs a Bath". It's about a pigeon that didn't like to take a bath, but when he did, he didn't want to get out of the tub!

I printed out a pigeon, cut it out, and then laminated it. It was clean, so Lia painted it with fingerpaint to make it dirty.

 One of her favorite things...paint!

Then, when she was done, I gave her a kitchen sponge and some water with soap so she can wash the Pigeon clean!

Let's take a bath, a lovely, bubbly bath!

 Did she ever love it! Anything that involves water play always sounds fun! {but that look means focused...ha}

Squeaky clean!

For Day Two we opened the book "Don't let the Pigeon Stay up Late."

As usual, Mo Willems caught my attention, while Lia wanted me to close the book so she can paint... ASAP. Gotta love toddlers...Haha

I painted her palm so we can make a pigeon out of it!

Then I drew the pigeon's facial features and legs. Lia stamped the stars!

 Stamping!

 This picture makes her look like a preschooler, so focused on what she's doing!
 Painting the star for the finishing touch!

The finished product!
